The Herndon Free Clinic opened to provide health care services to uninsured and low-income members of Fairfax County. They have a network of dedicated medical and non-medical volunteers, the Herndon Free Clinic has administered over 1,300 physicals to children through bi-monthly clinics. In March 2005, they expanded their services to meet the needs of entire families in the community, including hypertension screening and follow-up clinics for adults. Through bi-monthly adult clinics, volunteers administer medication, provide preventative education and make referrals to other community resources. |
