Northern Virginia Community Foundation
The Northern Virginia Community Foundation (NVCF) is the community foundation serving all of Northern Virginia.  NVCF exists to build a stronger philanthropic community in Northern Virginia by growing community endowments, addressing community needs, and providing community leadership.

NVCF Launches New Scholarship Funds
Two new scholarship funds will provide significant assistance to college bound Northern Virginia students. The Elizabeth Koury scholarship is for students interested in studying medicine, and the Rose Koury scholarship is for a student pursuing elementary or early childhood education. Both will be awarded to high ability students who demonstrate financial need. The scholarships come from bequests left to NVCF by the Koury sisters. Click here for more information about these and other scholarships available through NVCF.

NVCF Awards $114,307 in Grants to Local Nonprofits
In February, 2009, The Northern Virginia Community Foundation awarded $114,307 to 23 local nonprofit organizations.  Once a year, grants are made from our Community Investment Funds to help meet the needs of our most vulnerable local populations.  Click here for a list of grant recipients.
